Echinacea

Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench) is a plant belonging to the Compositee family.
The plant, adopted by Ayurvedic medicine, is known in phytotherapy for its detoxifying action for the circulatory, lymphatic and respiratory systems.
Echinacea plants contain various bioactive compounds, such as caffeic acid, phenolic acids, alchamides, rosmarinic acid which contribute to beneficial health.

  Echinacea is known for its immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory properties thanks to various bioactive compounds such as alchamides, caffeic acid derivatives, polysaccharides and glycoproteins.
Among these, the binding of alkamides with CB1 and CB2 is considered to be the possible mechanism of action for the immunomodulatory activity carried out by the plant.
