Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L. ) is an age-old medicinal herb used in teas as a mild relaxing sleep aid, in treatment for fevers and colds, for stomach ailments, and as an anti-inflammatory.
An extensive scientific research, over the past 20 years, has confirmed many of the traditional uses for the plant and established pharmalogical mechanism for the plant’s therapeutic activity, among which antipeptic, antispasmodic and antipyretic.
