Yellow Sweet Clover

The yellow sweet clover (Melilotus officinalis (L.) Pall.) is an annual or biennial plant native to Europe and Asia.
It is characterized by yellow flowers that bloom in spring and summer producing fruits in pods that contain a seed.
Traditionally the plant is used as a diuretic, for varicose veins and to relieve the symptoms of poor blood circulation: pain in the legs and heaviness, night cramps, itching and fluid retention.
