Black Rice

Black rice (Oryza sativa L.), originating in Asia, is a type of rice, also known as “forbidden rice” or “emperor’s rice,” that belongs to the Poaceae family.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, forbidden rice has been known for being good for the kidneys, stomach and liver since ancient times.


  Black rice is a rich source of anthocyanins, polyphenols, Vitamin E and dietary fiber that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity which can support heart, eye, digestive health and contributes to normalize blood cholesterol levels.
