Goldenrod (Solidago virga-aurea L.), originating in Europe, is a yellow wild flower that belongs to the Compositae family.
The herb's Latin word which means "to make whole or heal" reflects its use in traditional herbal medicine. The goldenrod is the most commonly species used for health purposes. Its flowers and leaves are used to make tea and dietary supplements.
